Angela Thielke joined the team full time in June 2019. An artist and a very creative person, Angela has been assisting us over the past 8 years designing labels, creating new gift designs, and designing rustic containers. Northwoods Food and Gift Enterprises has created a partnership with Highline Corporation and other workshops throughout the state of Wisconsin to employ persons with disabilities to assist in various ways. The mutual goal of this partnership is to provide full and meaningful employment for persons with disabilities. Our Holiday Gift Program showcases the result of that commitment. This program combines baskets and cutting boards made by persons with disabilities, with cheese and other gourmet food items to create beautiful gift offerings.
Our goal is to perfect this “Wisconsin Model” program utilizing Sheltered Workshops to create everyday household products. Northwoods Cheese Company, Mille Lacs Gourmet Foods, The Laze Spa and Rustic Wraps plan to take this unprecedented, private industry initiative to every state in the nation and every nation in the world. Your support of this program enables persons with disabilities to achieve dignity through work and contribute back to the community.
